Local business records

The core Windows and Android applications store business records on your devices. Your customers, products, jobs, invoices, sales and locally saved attachments are not uploaded to the commerce website simply because you buy or activate a licence. You control local backups and exports.

Licensing and accounts

Online activation sends the product, activation credential or software login, installation identifier and device label to our licensing service. We store account status, activation and device records, hashed device fingerprints, purchases and entitlement dates to provide access and enforce licence limits. Passwords are hashed; signing keys and activation codes are encrypted at rest.

Optional connections

Features you choose can transmit data: sending email uses your configured mail service; online lookups and maps contact their providers; optional team functions use their configured cloud services. ServiceLedger team sharing uses encrypted business data and Firebase identity/notification services. Protect your business encryption keys and review the relevant in-app settings before connecting services.

Updates, support and demos

Checking or downloading updates sends ordinary network information to hosting providers. Support receives the details you submit. Public previews use synthetic records and temporary demo state; do not enter real business information. Browser demos are examples of supported workflows and cannot perform real payments or licence activation.

Keeping data safe

Keep devices secure and maintain backups outside the working device. Removing an app or clearing its storage can remove local records. Disconnecting a cloud service does not automatically remove your local copies. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Requests and questions

Contact [email protected] or submit a support ticket to ask about information held by the website or licensing service, or request access, correction or deletion. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete records that exist only on your devices. Some purchase and security records may be retained for legal obligations and to administer licences.
